Other duties include combat search and rescue (CSAR), security assistance, peacekeeping, humanitarian assistance, humanitarian demining, counter-proliferation, and psychological operations; other components of the STARFLEET Special Operations, or STARFLEET Marine activities may also specialize in these secondary areas Many of their operational techniques are classified.
It is recommended that any recruit, who wishes to be a ranger, first read the Ranger’s Manual, and then take courses from the following schools in the College of Special Operations Training: School of Camouflage, School of Deployment Methods, School of Rappelling, School of Reconnaissance, School of Survival, Evasion and Resistance, and School of Terrain Analysis.
